Is the German floor numbering different than in other countries?
The ground floor in Germany is called the “Erdgeschoss” (EG), with the first floor right above it, and so on. So it goes: Groundfloor (Erdgeschoss), 1st floor, 2nd floor, etc. It is a small difference from some countries but generally aligns with the rest of Europe.
